K&L Massage Therapy Policies


We truly understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In our desire to be effective and fair to all of our clients, the following policies are honored:

  • As a courtesy to other clients as well as to Kathy and Laura, please notify us of changes or cancellations at least 12 hours before your session time. Our schedules frequently have limited availability, so "no-shows" and cancellations made with less than 12-hours notice often mean that we've turned down other potential clients that would have gladly taken your time slot. This translates to missed business opportunities, disappointed clients, and disappointed therapists...all of which we strive to avoid.
  • Within the 12-hour cancellation window, we can only accept phone cancellations (email cancellations may not be seen in time). Missed, changed, or canceled appointments made less than 12 hours in advance will be charged the full amount of your session fee (which we ask be paid-in-full prior to your next scheduled appointment), unless we are able to fill your time slot with another client.
  • Out of respect and consideration for your therapist and for our other clients, please plan accordingly and arrive on time. If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate appointments that follow yours. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the cost of the full session. If you have not arrived within 15 minutes after your appointment is scheduled to begin and/or if you have not contacted us at all, you will be considered a “no show” and will be charged the full amount of your missed session (which must be paid-in-full prior to your next scheduled treatment). If it was your intent to use a gift certificate to pay for your session, that certificate will be considered redeemed.
  • We are fully aware that all of us are susceptible to infections and illness. Because the health and safety of our clients is of utmost importance to us, we ask that you forego your massage if you are infected or stricken with anything (even remotely) contagious. We have a 12-hour cancellation requirement, but depending on the situation we may be willing to waive the fee.
  • Our services are therapeutic and non-sexual in nature. Accordingly, proper draping protocol is always followed. Any comments and/or behaviors that are deemed inappropriate or threatening WILL result in immediate termination of the session. Full payment of the scheduled appointment time will be required and you will be denied any future attempts at scheduling another session with us. We reserve the right to refuse our services to any client (existing or potential) for any legal reason.
  • Lastly, please have a credit card and your billing address available when you make your appointment. We will request these to reserve your session.
